A warm welcome from the Headteacher

headteacherWelcome to our school.  Norden is a small caring community based school where all students and staff know each other and support and help each other to achieve their individual goals.  We are very much a student first school; our new uniform was determined by the student body, the new school day responds to their learning needs and the House system reinforces the ‘family’ feel of our school.

We are an improving school.  This has been recognised by both Ofsted and HMI this year.

We are a school that prides itself on meeting the educational and emotional needs of all our students. This philosophy perhaps is best summed up by a Year 6 student who visited us for a day recently: “Can I come back tomorrow please?”
What more can I say?

Dear Parent / Carer

Following a recent issue, that has been reported to the police, can I respectfully remind all students and parents to make sure they report, immediately to school, any concerns regarding the behaviour of anyone who seems to be taking too much interest in members of our, or any other, school community.

Many thanks

Mr Tim Mitchell
